Destiny's
Child Legal Case Settled
LeToya
Luckett and LaTavia Roberson, the two former members of Destiny's
Child who left the group in 2000 have settled their legal cases against
the group's current members, its manager and Sony Music. The case arose
this year over the 2001 single "Survivor." It includes the lines:
"You thought that I'd be stressed without you, but I'm chillin'. You
thought I wouldn't sell without you. Sold 9 million."
Luckett
and Roberson claimed the song was a violation of a previous settlement
with Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Rowland, which prevented either
party from making any disparaging public comments. LeToya
and LaTavia's version of the song should be "Bitch! You thought I wouldn't
know you were talking 'bout us. You're busted!"
Beyonce
said the song was about everybody who ever discouraged the group. Yeah!
Right! Beyonce, do me a favor and go into porn. I would love to see your
coochie. Just curious to know if you have a fat juicy camel toe coochie
or a pancake coochie. Lead singer Beyonce Knowles, her father/manager Mathew
Knowles, original member Kelly Rowland and Sony Music were already sued
for breach of contract, defamation, libel and fraud. The two left the band
over unhappiness with Matthew Knowles' control after their original manager
died in 1997.
Farrah
Franklin and Michelle Williams replaced them, and when Farrah dropped out
months later, the group continued to perform as a trio. "They are happy
at this point to put it all behind them and do feel vindicated by the course
of action they took."
After
leaving Destiny's Child, LeToya and LaTavia formed a group called Anjels.
The other members of the group are Naty who is Latina and the Rapper of
the group and Tiffany who provides the soulful church vocals. They did
an interview with Hair
and Braid Magazine and Sister2Sister
Magazine. Rumors have it that Arista records dropped the Anjels
to put out the girl group "Isyss" for
2002. I heard their record and I am really not feeling Isyss. Anjels
have
been picked up by J Records.

This
is a nice lead in to let you know that....
Jay-Z
and Beyonce Knowles are engaged: Oct 25, 2002 - Beyonce Knowles,
21 and Jay Z, 33 made it official with an announcement of their engagement
just 2 months after they began dating. A wedding as not been set. What
lying shits they are. Didn't Beyonce and Jazy-Z say they weren't dating? On
the up side, you can bet Jay-Z is doing this for a little poon tang. Why?
Cause cute pretty girls like Beyonce bitch about everything. And what is
it that guys don't like? That's right! Any woman that talks and complains
too fucking much. Yep! While Beyonce was singing No! No! No! No!, Jay-Z
was saying "Right! What's muh mothafuckin name... Jiggaaaa!" They also
recently recorded a cut called "Bonnie &
Clyde" which has been released and will be on Jigga Man's
forthcoming album. Oh! Jay-Z do the male species a favor and give a stroke
for all the niggas that would love a piece of that ass.
JAY-Z
Steals Braxton's Thunder? Oct. 11 2002
Toni
Braxton released a statement accusing Jay of stealing her idea to
sample the 1996 Tupac Shakur hit, 'Me and My Girlfriend', Jay-Z has refuted
claims that his new single, "Bonnie & Clyde"
was an idea stolen from Braxton. How ironic that the single in question
is about 2 bank robbers? Hmmmmm! Stealing shit for you and your girlfriend,
Beyonce?
Jay-Z's
producer Kayne West said "I had no idea about Toni Braxton's [song].
She can't act like nobody ever heard 'Me and My Girlfriend' before.
People hear the song all the time."
Braxton
said that Jay-Z only decided to make his track after she played her version
to a friend at Def Jam Records. Me and My Girlfriend is a song from
from one of Tupac's album and Braxton had the music and vocals sampled
for her new single, 'Me and My Boyfriend'. Suge Knight gave permission
to both artistes to sample the song.
However,
West further states he suggested the idea to Jigga after listening to a
Tupac album late one night. He told MTV: " I popped [Makaveli] in and started
playing songs. I went to 'Me and My Girlfriend' and was like, 'Oh sh*t,
this joint would be crazy for [Jay-Z and Beyonce]. .... Sure and
the Cow Jumped Over the Moon!
"He
had told me a week before that he needed a joint for him and
Beyonce.
I remember he called [and] said, 'We got this joint, it has to be
the
best beat you ever made. Just picture if you got my first single -
Hov
and Beyonce - how big you would be then.' Also coming to Jay-Z's aid is
Roc-A-Fella co-CEO, Damon Dash, added: "Jay is a talented dude. I don't
think
he would steal anything intentionally. "It's an ill coincidence, and things
happen for a reason. We'll see what happens behind it.
"[My]
reaction is, 'Sorry, it wasn't intentional.' Jay makes records
and
puts them out. This sh*t is music. It's just music. We don't sit
around
and have a blueprint to f*ck anybody's life up. The music business
has
been good to us. I'm not getting into any beef or nothing over
music."
Personally,
I want to know how come so many people are jumping to defend Jay-Z and
this shit? I believe Braxton. Why? Well, Jay-Z is not known to sample other
people's shit. So all of a sudden he magically comes up with the idea?
Please! Furthermore, Braxton is sexier than Monk-Z .... Make that Jay-Z.
People, there is no smoke without fire.
3LW
(Three Little Witches make that Two Little Witches) Split

Naturi
Naughton, a former member of the platinum-selling teen group 3LW, claims
in a lawsuit that she was forced out of the R&B trio because she was
not "ghetto enough." Naughton, 18, says she was ousted from the group,
whose hits include "Playas Gon Play" and "No More," in August. In a lawsuit
filed in U.S. District Court in Newark, the East Orange resident charged
that the "purported" manager of the group, Michelle Williams, said Naughton
"did not present the appropriate `project girl image,'" and berated her
as "Ms. Two Parent Household." The lawsuit was filed Friday. It names group
members Kiely Williams, 16 ,
of Annandale, and Adrienne Bailon, 18, of New York. Also sued was Williams,
who is Kiely's sister; another sister, Tse Williams, owner of Nine Lives
Entertainment of Newark; Big Cat Management of New York; and Sony Music.
Messages seeking comment from a group publicist and Big Cat Management
were not immediately returned Tuesday. No listing could be found for Nine
Lives Entertainment. Sony had no immediate comment. The lawsuit seeks an
order terminating Naughton's contract with Nine Lives and Sony and compensation
for loss of income from the conduct of the defendants. Formed in 1999,
3LW -- for three little women -- has sold over 1 million copies of their
self-titled debut album. The group's new album, "A Girl Can Mack,"
is scheduled for release Oct. 22. I believe they needed to split. They
are pure and simple talentless.
Luke
Campbell Says This Bud's IS NOT For You!
Luke
Campell, the promoter of Luke's Freakfest, was accused by a 23
year
old woman who claimed that two dancers stripped her naked and
penetrated
her with a beer bottle on stage last Saturday night in Charleston, South
Carolina. Police refuted the girl's claim after they viewed a 12 minute
amateur video tape. They said that they would also wait to view a professional
copy of the tape before they made any decisions.
The
police released a preliminary statement saying "We've had a chance to review
a tape shot by a member of the audience with investigators as well as the
solicitor's office and, at this time, we find no evidence to corroborate
the alleged victim's story."
Luke
Campell said he has been in trouble before so he always tape the
concerts.
He said it would clear any doubts about his innocence. Luke
revealed
to AllHipHop.com that he would release
a copy of the tape next
Thursday
(Oct. 17, 2002) via his website, UncleLukesWorld.com.
"Everybody
on stage ends up signing a release," Campbell said. "I'm pretty
sure
she regrets what she did. At the end of the day she thought about it,
but
she signed a release. She was enjoying the moment and when people
see
this tape here they'll see that. There was no crime committed here."
It
is further verified that the chick is in the Air Force in Charleston. Her
boyfriend
ended up walking into the club in the middle of the show and, so,
she
tried to lie about what was going on to avoid relationship and career
troubles.
The club (The Endzone) also had cameras that showed she was
full
of shit.
Girl
Almost Went Wild
On
another somewhat unrelated incident, a girl sued GirlsGoneWild
producers for putting her picture on the box. The girl, however, said all
she wanted was for them remove her picture off the box. The company obliged
the girl's request and whatever footage was shot remained on the tape.
Hey! That reminds me. Those sons of bitches haven't sent me my order since
October 1, 2002. Hold up let me make that call now! OK! 25 minutes later,
they tell me there was a glitch in their system and the computer bumped
my shipping out of their system. Funny their computer didn't forget to
charge my credit card!
